the eighty year old sapling, tin and weatherboard shed
This shed was built by Enid Sharp's father, Mr Dean. Enid was born in the house in the 1920s, lived here as a child and kept it as a holiday house until she sold it to me in December 1999.
I write a mix of poetry, fiction, memoir and essay. My books include The Age of Fibs, the verse memoir Vagabondage, The Party of Life, and How to Conceive of a Girl. I live and write on Darkinjung land on the Central Coast of NSW. And can be found @bethspen on socials and at https://bethspen.substack.com/
This is the house I renovated and garden I created in Creswick, Victoria, which I sold in 2009 and handed over to a new owner/caretaker.
